    The chalet has been, and continues to be, run as a catered and self-catered rental business.

    Our opinion
    There are very few chalets like this in the entire Valley. Indeed, it is one of the only genuine ski-in, ski-out positions (have a look at Google Street View, taken from the Aillouds piste looking directly at the chalet). A ready-made rental business should it be wanted, but the chalet could equally be used as a home or second home.

    Chalet des Aillouds is located on the pistes of les Houches in the sought after area of les Chavants. Being slightly higher and in the bend of the Valley, it is one of the sunniest spots. The centre of les Houches is just over 2kms away (less than a 5 minute drive) where there is a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets. The roads are very well cleared so access is not a problem. The pistes lead directly to the Prarion gondola, from where a regular bus service connects to the rest of the Valley and the other ski areas.
