    Our opinion
    Apartment Balmat is a part of an old stone-built Maison Balmat so has loads of charm and character - this is obvious the moment you enter with its feature stone walls and alcove areas but the renovation has been wisely thought-out as the interior also feels very modern. It is close to the centre of Chamonix but equally handy to access the other areas of the Valley as the main road is 350 metres away. The second bedroom also has a kitchen so could be used as a self-contained guest flat or an Airbnb rental.

    Apartment Balmat is situated in les Pélerins, 2.3km from the very centre of Chamonix. It is a peaceful, residential area with good views of the massif. It is a 20 minute walk to the edge of the town centre of Chamonix. There is a supermarket (Marche U) and boulangerie in les Pélerins, 500 metres (just over 5 minutes' walk) away. For transport, the chalet is just 250 metres from the Pélerins train station with bus stops there and on Route des Pélerins (275 metres away). Access to the Route Blanche (Geneva, Mont Blanc tunnel) is very easy, 650 metres from the chalet.
