Location

Blaitière is situated just to the south-east of the town centre, on Chemin du Pied du Grepon, adjacent to the "les Planards" nursery slopes. It is 450 metres on foot to Avenue Michel Croz, the start of the main shopping streets in Chamonix.

The nearest supermarket is Casino in the town centre (650 metres) or Carrefour Market (same distance). There are a couple of restaurants and bars within 200 metres, but the main choices are in the town centre.

For access to skiing, the nursery slopes of les Planards are a short walk away. For the main ski areas, the nearest is Brévent, just to the north of Chamonix centre, 1500 metres away (3-4 minutes by car or bus). The nearest bus stop is 200 metres away at Gare du Montenvers, with the main train station 450 metres away.
