    Chalet l'Ecole is located in the charming hamlet of Taconnaz, 2.5km from the centre of Les Houches (a 5 minute drive) and 6km (a 10 minute drive) from the centre of Chamonix. The setting is peaceful and rural, surrounded by open fields and with magnificent views of the Taconnaz glacier and the Mont Blanc range. The closest shops, restaurants, bars and supermarket are in Les Houches, as it the nearest ski area. It's less than a 10 minute walk (600m) to the nearest bus stop with a regular service running throughout the Chamonix Valley, to the various ski areas.
