Our opinion

Chalet Diard C is one of a very few new build chalets available that are walkable to Chamonix centre, in a private, quiet spot and with fabulous Mont Blanc views. There aren't many of these on the market and the price compares favourably with other areas. With strong rental potential, this would be a good yield-based investment for those who wish to rent.

Location

The chalet is located in the popular and well-placed "les Favrands" area, just to the west of Chamonix centre. It is a pleasant, flat, 15 minute walk to the town square, 7-8 minutes to the edge of town. The new bike path leading directly to town, is at the bottom of the road.

The chalet is easily walkable (500 metres, 5 minutes) to the supermarket, bakery, pharmacy and new butchers at les Pélèrins. The town's main bakery, le Fournil Chamoniard, is a similar distance as are two schools, Jeanne d'Arc and Jacques Balmat.

For public transport, the main Chamonix bus stop, giving free access to all the slopes, is 700 metres away. It is also the drop-off for airport transfer companies such as EasyBus and SAT. The nearest train station is at les Moussoux, 5 minutes walk from the chalet.
