Our opinion

Genuinely ski-in, ski-out, not much more needs to be said. The chalet has been run as a successful rental business for a number of years and could continue to be so. However, it would of course work as a private residence with the 2 mazots offering lovely guests rooms or an income to help with running costs.

Location

Chalet Hélène is located at the edge of the Aillouds piste in les Houches in the "les Chavants" area. The ski down to the main lift, the Prarion, is a matter of seconds giving access to the rest of the les Houches ski area.

The Prarion lift, where there is a bakery, ski hire and a snack bar, is a 15 minute walk (1200 metres) and is also the nearest bus stop for access to the rest of the Valley. This is very close to the Lac des Chavants, with several activities including a climbing wall, tennis courts, fishing and a play area.
