Our opinion

This is a good example of what you can get for your money outside of the centre of Chamonix. Although the road is nearby, the chalet faces Mont Blanc and has terrific views. The chalet has very flexible family accommodation with lots of potential.

Location

Songenaz is 4km (less than a 10 minute drive) south-west of Chamonix and 4km from Les Houches, with easy access to the main road in/out of the Chamonix valley. Chamonix and Les Houches both offer a large choice of shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets. The closest ski lifts/ ski areas are Bellevue in Les Houches and Brévent in Chamonix, both around a 10 minute drive away. There is a train station 10 minutes' walk from the chalet and a regular bus service runs from the chalet to Chamonix, Les Houches and the different ski areas.
