Our opinion

The attraction of this apartment is its size, good balcony, view and quiet aspect. It can be left as a studio or turned back into a 1 bedroom apartment, either would be appealing from a rental investment perspective. Although in decent order, its potential would come from a full renovation to add value and improve rental return.

Location

Iris 1 is in Chamonix Sud, close to the famous Aiguille du Midi cable car and within metres of Chamonix town centre. In the immediate vicinity, there are a number of bars, restaurants, shops and the Spar supermarket.

For access to the pistes, the main bus stop is less than 200 metres from the apartment. All the transfer buses from Geneva also drop here, so it is very conveniently placed. The nearest train station is on Avenue de l'Aiguille du Midi, less than 250 metres away.
